My Future Is Certain
Inspired by Isaiah 18:1–2, 7
Isaiah 18 opens with a world that feels unsettled. There are distant lands, swift messengers, powerful nations, and events moving beyond the control of ordinary people. From the human point of view, the future looks uncertain.
But God is not uncertain.
He is not watching history unfold wondering what will happen next. The nations may make their plans and kingdoms may appear powerful for a season, but Isaiah points forward to a day when tribute is brought to the LORD at Mount Zion. The future still belongs to Him.
That is the truth behind MY FUTURE IS CERTAIN.
It does not mean that I know what tomorrow will bring. It means I know the One who already holds tomorrow. Christian confidence is not found in predictions, signs, circumstances, or our ability to control what comes next. It rests in the character and promises of God.
Storm clouds may gather. The road ahead may disappear beyond the horizon. But the believer can still stand with confidence because the future is not ultimately unknown.
It belongs to God.
