We often picture Christmas beginning in a manger. But the wonder of Christmas begins with who came to that manger.
Philippians 2:6–8 tells us that Jesus, though truly God, did not cling to His privileges. He emptied Himself by taking the form of a servant, being born in human likeness, and humbling Himself in obedience even to death on a cross.
That's the story behind this design: the Son of God coming from heaven into the humble circumstances of Bethlehem. He didn't cease to be God. He willingly took on our humanity and entered our world to save us.
The manger was not the end of His journey. It was part of the path that led to the cross, the resurrection, and the promise that one day God will make all things new (Revelation 21:1–4).
Christmas is more than the story of a baby born. It's the astonishing news of a Savior who came near, humbled Himself, and made a way for us.
